ACTIVITY 15: THE SUITCASE

The activity consists in writing the biography of a poet from the contents of a suitcase, which belongs to that author.  In this suitcase, the teacher will introduce personal and characteristic objects of a known person. In the field of literature, it could be a well-known writer or poet; in the field of history it could be an important character...

From this activity, students can move on to the exercise of creative writing. In this exercise, students are presented with the opportunity to spin everything they have observed in the suitcase, and write a biography that is as realistic as possible based on the information obtained from the suitcase. Students are presented with an opportunity to use their imagination and get into a realistic biography.
